At alot of electronic stores, you can buy those little plastic membranes that come on new electronics screens, they sell packs of them for PDA's etc etc. What I think they did there was cut one out to fit the screen, and drew in the letterbox lines with a sharpie....

Actually, I taped my DVX LCD screen with Scotch tape "in a pinch" one time, and when I pulled it off, it left a permanent transparent mark . . . so I have permanent 1.85:1 lines on the LCD and can still see everything. Worked out pretty well . . .
