what is the real frame-rate for...

LPowell's 40Mbps reliable patch with 1080p since 24p native can't be ticked successfully? And what is the frame-rate with the 50Mbps fast action patch?

Thank you

In avchd: SH 30p, FHD 24p wrapped in 60i.
In mjpeg: 30p.

It is not correct. 720 modes are recorded (and shot) in 50 or 60 frames per second. FHD also, either 24 or 25 fps. Depends on PAL/NTSC setting.
All frame rates are described in your manual btw.

I'm confused...

I'm confused...

by NOT ticking the 24p setting in the hack, am I using the inherent frame rate built into the camera? I'm using NTSC.

Doesn't Ipowell's fast-action setting modify 720p frame rate to 30fps?

I am preatty sure that Lpowell patch description have clear mention of this (in PTool and in the download post here).
So, question is pretty strange.

And I can't remember all settings in all patches. :-)

how does that equate to 24P in a wrapper. Wouldn't it be 30 framerate?

What on earth are you talking about? There is no "equte." 24P in a 60i wrapper is the only accurate description of the frame rate. 24P in 60i is NOT 30 fps in any way shape or form. There is no other answer for you. Because of this I don't think anyone here really understands your questions.

Thanks dasbin, I haven't met a snob...

..in a really long time. Why did you answer my question only to humiliate me?

Forgive me for not fully understanding the meaning of 24p in an i60 wrapper. Unlike you, everybody wasn't born with that knowledge. I got my answer from another forum. And btw...the word is "equate," not "equte."

Maybe someday you'll be in a similar position of not understanding something, and somebody will be equally condescending to you. Oh! I'm sorry: people like you know everything; I forgot.

I think the problem here is that your questions have been answered many times over and all you need to do is read a bit to find the answers. It's annoying that someone starts a new thread asking others to answer questions so that he/she can save themselves time. Spend an hour reading through the forums, if you don't understand the 24p/60i wrapper relationship yet, probably best to stay away from the customized patches for now anyway.

...it won't happen again, but you are making a broad assumption to say that I did it to save some time. Maybe I didn't express my question clearly. Before posting, I spent over 2 hours trying to find an answer not merely for a definition of the 24p/60i wrapper, but its relationship with the hack, and the 2 patches by LPowell, so that I could determine which was more suitable for me.

Try going back over some of the threads: they are in many cases contradictions, disagreements of facts made by people like me who are trying to find answers to specific questions, and in many of those cases they are very confusing, and not as easy as you depict them to be.

So, in view of some of the idiotic and juvenile questions and statements I have observed here, I posted my question; I am sorry. But, in the future, with other people's repetitive questions, don't you think it would be better for members to just not answer the question rather than making a reply that serves no other purpose than that of venting frustration? This way it wouldn't be in any way annoying. Or, would that be depriving an arrogant individual an opportunity of "showing off?"

Again, I'm sorry I wasted the ink at this thread, but being I already started it I just wanted to clarify.

Exactly the point. You will find (if you continue reading the forum) that it gets more and more cluttered and difficult to find answers to questions. You'll see people answering questions incorrectly, people slamming others for dumb questions, and you will find new people every week jumping in without doing any homework. This all gets annoying. If you want answers on this forum, look for posts from: lpowell, papasarts, cbrandin, Barry Green, and of course, Vitally (though he's far more involved in the more complicated thread). There are others who are reasonably well versed on all this, but those five are sure things.

Sorry that I offended you, I shouldn't have been so quick. It's just frustrating you asked a question (which was very confusing... to be honest I wasn't sure if that was intentional or not at first) and it had answered at least twice in this thread already and you ignored the answers and asked it again.

No offense taken. It was late here when I replied, and I apologize for my quick-tempered rebuttal. I can now see, by viewing my wording in the thread, how it appears that I am asking, then answering my own question.

I basically just wanted to clarify that LPowells's 50Mbps fast action patch didn't in any way affect the inherent framerate at 1080p. He clearly states in that thread that it doesn't, but some of the responses and replies confused that issue for me.

I am writing in American English (which is definitely not the best version), and I realize that some respondents are writing in English as a second language, so, things can appear a bit confusing at times. I, however, have no excuse for the way I worded my thread; I have 2 published books (in English) to my credit and I should have known better.
