What is the next step up from the D90?

I am really a newbie to video. I am looking for something with wide aperture ability. Are there any options below $2000? Or anything with interchangeable lenses?
 
If you are asking for the next step up within the video dslr group in general (not just nikon) then the step up would be the Panasonic GH1 for $1499.99.

There is also the Pentax K7 but that is not available yet. Above all the rest is the Canon 5dmkii at $2699.99.

Below the D90, is the Nikon D5000 and the Rebel T1i.

I have taken my first video with my d5000 yesterday and i like very much the quality. For 1000$ it's very good! I was afraid it would be far worse since here some people complain about the quality of the d90.

Maybe on a larger screen i would see more the defaults...

P.S. Sorry for my english. It is not my first language.
 
and the same five minute record time limitation (with accompanying overheating tendencies as well). No mention at all of 1080 24fps... I would be very disappointed.

Agreed. Very Disappointing. I'm going to continue to rent until they make announcement for new camera. But suspect I will be getting a 5DMKII upon Nikon news.
