What is the "highlight" feature?

From what I think the manual says, the "highlight" feature turns blown out highlights black so you know they're clipping? (I think)

If this is true, then is it sort of a "zebra" function. If not, then how can you be sure your not getting blow outs?

It only works on playback, not during live mode.

The only true exposure monitoring tool you have is the histogram.

I looked for a section in the manual on "how to read the histogram" and only found a description. Is there a section I'm not seeing in the manual, or should I just do a "search" on DVXuser to read up on it.

The reason I'm asking is because I don't know whether the GH1 histogram works differently than others.
