What is the D90 Advantage Over the D5000?

mainly still performance differences,

  1. the D5000 is slower by half a fps shooting still,
  2. the D90 has an AF motor for older lenses the D5000 does not.
  3. An airflow control system has been added to the sensor (presumablly to reduce dust)
  4. Subject tracking as been added as a LV focus mode
  5. The view finder in the D90 is a Pentaprisim, the D5000 is a Pentamirror

Side by side with D90 and D60

In a nutshell: The D90 is a semi-pro camera, the D5000 is entry level. And mainly the features already posted above.

The D5000 has the articulated screen which is cool, but it also only has around 1/3 the resolution of the D90 screen. Which could make it harder to focus on the go, but I don't know.
