what is the correct way to get 24fps look in fcp

hi, everyone

Can someone tell the right way to get the film look of 24fps in fcp please.....
there is so many ways of RECORDING, CAPTURING and put it in the right SEQUENCES timeline......
Do I need to put clips of 29.97 fps in 29.97 sequence and put clips of 23.97 in 23.97 sequence or can I mix them up...
