What is the best wireless mike for a DVX?

What is the best wireless mike I can buy for a mid range budget? somewhere in the range of $300?

I'm also looking for a good shotgun mike.

I use a Sony UWP-C1 with lavaliere. I made an adapter (3.5mm plug and about 6 feet of cable with XLR connector on other end) so I can plug in a XLR connector into the transmitter and then use my Rode NT3 as a stick mike (say for talent interviewing several people on location). You will save a lot of money over buying a dedicated wireless stick mic unit or even just the wireless stick mike itself.

I got the Rode NTG-1 shotgun for short money (new) off of eBay. With the Rode adapter, will fit in the DVX mic holder. In retrospect, probably should have gotten the NTG-2 ( has a battery, doesn't require phantom power like the NTG-1) With the NTG-2, I could have set it up on a tripod or mic stand (or have an assistant follow the subjects) with the wireless, then shoot from whatever position I want that is within wireless range. Cheaper than having a dedicated sound guy. The Rode NTG is very sensitive so even with the isolation adaptor - you get a certain amount of camera noise when it is mounted on the camera (DVX100B).
