What is that on my shot?

Howdy,

Any advice is welcome. I wrapped on a boxing shoot a bit ago, and now going back and looking at the footage I have a weird black smudge on the top left corner of frame. It seems to react to what is happening in the shot. Thoughts on what it could be? Light leak? Sensor movement? Lens mount out of wack?

I've had something similar before. It turned out the ND filter wheel wasn't completely clicked in.

Either ND filter or matte box. Seeing the round edge I would bet on the ND wheel.

yup a little vignette from what Paul said, you can either change your aspect ratio, crop it, or add a vignette filter to make it uniform, or live with it, it's not so distracting that it makes much difference.

Yeah, thankfully it was only on that one set-up...still not pleased but hey, you learn. On the shoot I just got back from I added ND engaged to my pre-shot check.
