What is Sony doing?

sony has publically stated they won't have a dslr with video ...period . However the rumor mill has between 3 and 5 new sonys' on the release path this year.
 
They've also stated they won't make a relevant DSLR, period, so it's not that surprising...oh wait that didn't state that, it's just true.
 
Why do you care about Sony?

If you like them so much just watch GH1 footage on your Sony TV or Sony VAIO and edit your GH1 footage with Sony Vegas! That's what they want you to do! They don't care about cameras.
 
They have a full frame DSLR coming out but are generally showing a complete lack of innovation.

Take this example: an iPhone challenger is in their hands for the taking, yet they continue to take the same tired strategy with the PSP. Slimmer... faster...erm...

Hell Sony make it a damned phone!! Can you imagine the money they'd make with those games downloadable online like with the iPhone? Can you imagine the interoperability between the PS Phone and PS3?

Yet Sony remain completely innovation free... which goes 100% of the way to explaining why they can't see the future of DSLRs and video cameras either.
