What is my best/cheapest solution for SXS cards?

When issues started popping up about SanDisk card reliability I had to go with Hoodman/MxR. This coming from someone who bought nothing but SanDisk media up until this year. $140 gives me peace of mind and the only issues I had in the beginning were loading the card properly.

I don't believe that going with a SDHC card and adapter kit is a complete gamble for what you are planning. If you are planning on being here in africa for a while then you are going to need some form of large storage for your footage. for this i think you should just have a PC with 2 internal SATA harddrives and relevant XD cam drivers installed. Use the one hard drive for storage and the other for back up

During filming i have had no problems with the ATP PRO MAX 16 GB ($75) and a M&R Adaptor ($45) I would recommend a seperate adaptor for each card for convenience and also reducing wear and tear on your cards.

I have not had a problem with these cards so far
i have had major problems with sandisk where i have lost important footage when the card would completely fail.
