what is manual focus infinity for the 100a?

I had somewhere found that my 100a was manually focused at infinity at 93.
I recently saw someone who said it was 97.

What is the the best setting for manual focus infinity for the 100a?

Should be 95. That's what the camera sets it to when you push the "infinity" switch.

OK...so...what's the purpose of the numbers beyond that? And how will they screw up the shot?

Different lens adapters may be able to take advantage of the 96-99 range. A close-focus diopter can most definitely use them. But if you have no lens adapter installed, anything beyond 95 will just render out-of-focus footage.

Kinda like what happens if you have a diopter screwed on and you focus past? No physical adjusting of the cam-subject distance will bring it into focus?

Not a design choice I would have made.
