I just sold the last equipment for my D90. I watched as the new owner attached the vertical grip to his new D90 and I realized how much I had come to enjoy that camera. I purchased the new D7000 recently and I really like it, so much so that I purchased a second one for my wife. We started with a d40, then added a d90. Having said all that, there is something I don't like about the ring of a D7000. Sounds like a consumer point and shoot or someting. Marketing has its sweet spots, such as a 450SL, 350Z, Z28. What will be in the coming years, D20,000? Maybe. Ford came out with a 500 which didn't market well, so the next year they changed the name back to Taurus. I hope the D7000 finds it's place. It is a great camera regardless of it's name! Anyone feel the same?
