What is better: Duel or Addonics Expresscardadapter?
PC

Which one is faster?

Does anyone use the Addonics Adapter?

I gave away my Duel adapter for free because I hated it so mcuh...it never worked properly on PC laptops and Duel systems suppor t was totally useless......They have been promising updates and fixes from day one for Pcs but never delivered!
Tthe Adonics works like a charm and is fast without the need of any drivers....that's all on PC....not Macs...

I have a PC with Windows XP.
I suppose the Duel trouble happened only on Vista, or also on XP?

The only problem I have with the Addonics is the size. I´m not sure if it doesn´t cover the FW that is next to the expresscard slot to the right (Dell Precision M90). I have about 1 cm from the right edge of the 54mm expresscard ending to the FW connector.

How fast is the Addonics?

The duel adapter pretty much only worked on Dell laptops.....it failed on almost everything else (fialed on HP, Compaq, some Asus, and toshibas) Duel systems said they were aware of the problem from day one....and that they would have afix within a week... never happened!
It did work on my dell D830 but was still having problem with the speed. The addonics perform the way I expected it to from day one. And yes that was on Win XP

I have to wonder why a basic interface card wouldn't work on everything.

But apparently that's the nature of the beast.

Duel systems said it had to do with the way certain OEM implements their express card...the real question for them is why does the Addonics work fine without any need of special drivers on PC. Like you said...it's just an interface card...

again I am only referring to PCs.....If you are running a PC, it's my opinion that the Addonics is more compatible.
