Being a wildlife and nature kind of guy, I'm basically a two type of shot shooter.
I either shoot 720pn 24p at 60fps for some great slow motion, or I shoot 1080p 30p interval time-lapse shots.
I really, really, REALLY wish the 170 could switch between those two with a User button.
I was filming a sunrise time-lapse this morning on a river. I was just about to wrap it up when I noticed a great blue heron lazily flying right across the river from me.
Would have been nice to be able to swing the camera around hit the user button and switch from a 1080 1 second interval filming to 720 60fps filming and capture the heron in slow motion flight.
I would think this would be possible with a firmware upgrade.
I just don't know how many times I'm shooting a time-lapse and something unexpected pops up that I wish I could switch without having to get into the menus which by then is to late.
