It appears to be a third party HMC150 battery. Anyone have any info on this? I think I may try it out.

I've used IDX "V" style mount batteries before extensively on shoulder mount cameras and have been fairly pleased with them. Can't say one way or the other with these, but I doubt you could go (too) wrong with them.

Just don't blame me if they turn out to be pieces of crap.
