What Happened tot the number of posts?

I just noticed tonight that there are no post numbers under each member's name.
What happened to them? I always like to read them.

I'm gonna miss the post counts. I was thinking about doing a 5k video. I'm probably not going to do one now.:(

I didn't even think of that. Great, I won't have to do another video!!!!

No post counts now? Oh well, so much for my 1k video I had planned for fall 2009. In fact, I think I'm done with this site altogether.

Good riddance :)
... oh not to you diesel. to the post counts.

I don't need to see that Barry has x1000 amount of posts to know he has valuable information. And likewise for everyone else on here. If someone mispeaks, someone will be there to correct that information. If there is not a clear answer to a question, then the tables will be opened for interesting debat. Number of posts is not an indicator of accuracy of information and/or experience... in either direction.

yea i agree that the post count didnt really mean anything in regards to knowledge level or authority. you could have 4 really good posts, or 8000 fluff posts.

and i was kidding, btw, i have no idea why they're gone. i was just talking about how hudson's referenced as the 'guy with 8 billion posts' sometimes

I think the post counts are fun and it dose help some people. If you have someone ansewer a question that has 5 post and then you have someone the ansewers it differently and has 2000 post you might take their advice. Not to say that the person with the 5 post is anymore wrong then the 2000 or vice a versa. I'm just say people that it is easier to trust someone with more posts if your a new guy on the block. You tend to hang around the big kids until you get use to it.

Who really cares about post counts? To me, the most important place for them is in the Marketplace. If I see a person with a couple thousand posts in the marketplace, I know he's legit and not just someone coming in to dump something. Other than that, I have a group of people in my buddy list that I enjoy posting with...regardless of post quantity.

i agree completely about the marketplace. Hadn't thought of that. But then, all you have to do is click on the persons username and you can see how long they have been a member and how many posts they have if you need to.

You are absolutely correct on that point. It's no big deal to do that if you're curious...

I agree with Blaine - I've actually had the chance to rent an HVX from someone who wouldn't have let me rent it if I didn't have a decent amount of posts.

If you click on someone's name you can see their post count in the user profile so you can still make smart decisions in the marketplace about who you deal with.
