GH2 What exactly are "patches"?

Hello all,

I understand how the "Hack" works, but what exactly are the "patches" so many folks use?

Are they simply a "preset" group of camera settings that can otherwise be normally (if painstakingly) accessed? Or is it more than that on a software level.

(Also - is there any sort of central location where patches can by downloaded from?)

Patches are INI files that can be installed in PTool, allowing you to reliably apply all needed firmware settings at once. For more details, check out the links in my signature.
