Hi, I just bought my DVX today (this thing is so sweet!!!!) and I was checking it out and noticed a switch on the back of the battery, I looked through the whole manual and there was nothing on it. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knew what it did. Thanks.

p.s. I'm sorry if this question has been posted before, I just didn't want to look through 2000 different threads to find it.

p.s.s. This site rocks!!!!!!

It's just a little reminder tab to let you know if the battery is charged or not. I normally switch it to red when I know the battery is dead and needs recharging. The key is to remember to switch it back after being charged!

At least some Sony batteries have that "switch" plcated so that when you push it into the chager, it also pushes the switch back from red to the "charged" position.
