Question: is the Touchscreen AF also working DURING filming? - I mean: can you actually change the focus distance during filming by selecting a new subject?

Ok, GH2 has 3 programable function buttons. Random tirade about controls after trying to use a G2 is herby rescinded.
 
I would've been glad to see the original GH1 button config...the G2's is a monstrosity, whereas this is an improvement over both!
 
I'd like to hear confirmation that the PAL version doesn't have 25p available in the HQ 1080 mode but only 24p.

If that's true then tell them they just lost a sale.
 
I'm really most interested in the Fixed Pattern Noise issue. Of all the things I enjoy about the GH1, the stills in low light are really not a high point. I don't mind noise, but I really don't like these horizontal bands of noise. I understand it's part of the sensor technology but it's really a negative for me.
 
Adrian, I would really appreciate if could you confirm that GH2 can record 1080/24p natively. Thanks!
 
From the press release it sure sounds like it does in fact do 24p native; in fact, that's the ONLY mode where the bitrate can go to 24Mbps
 
I haven't finished reading the other big GH2 thread here (I've been w-a-a-a-y out of town up in the mountains), but has anyone confirmed whether or not the GH2 can output live _AUDIO_ during recording? Either via the HDMI or USB/AV connector cable?

Live audio monitoring is super-important to me. Yes, I know I could use a external recorder, etc., etc., but I still wan to know if the GH2 support live _AUDIO_ monitoring?

No 25p in PAL land:

GH2 has 40fps burst shooting mode via electronic shutter. Is it completely silent? I wonder if it make a Click sound due to shutter open and release at the beginning and end of the burst.
 
5fps and 40fps burst shooting modes do not have live view according to the specs. Does it mean that it does not show the images taken during shooting in real time? Does the screen go blank?

Looks like there will be screen blackout as in the GH1, which makes shooting action stills quite difficult. 3.5fps looks like it will work though, which will be an improvement.
I'm interested to see how this will really work.
