What do you use for a deck for your 100b?

I'm curious what most of you use for a deck to save the heads on your 100b. I was thinking of a pvgs250 or the like. Would there be any loss of quality? If it's shot in 24p, do you need a deck that supports that?

Also, I find I can't batch capture with consumer cam. I'm guessing the timecode is different between the two, and I want to batch capture. Thanks for any advice. Will be using FCP Studio.

Pretty much any Mini-DV camera will do and it doesn't matter if it was shot in 24P or not you are reading ones and zeros. It is just digital data.

Best,

I figured as much. However can you address the differences in timecode with a consumer cam versus the 100b? I've never been able to batch capture with a cheap digital. Why is that. I'm assuming i could with the 100b. Thanks.

i use my old busted sony vx1000. it has no microphone or handle or lens cause they all got broke on one big accident. but the tape deck still works fine :) I just cleaned the heads before i started using it and it has had HOURS AND HOURS of rewind/fastforward and playback. still works great.

I use the Panasonic DV2500. It is a great deck and it can read DVCAM tapes as well.
