what do you think????

shot this for a friend (director) who entered the Viewpoint Film Challenge (http://www.viewpointfilmchallenge.com/) and would love some feed back.

shot with:

hvx - 720/24pn (no lens attachments or matte box)
3 x 650w redheads
warren dolly (idiotically did not bring sandbags for it, made for some jittery dolly moves and many a take)
edited with fcp 6
senn wireless lavs for sound (two hooked into the hvx directly, no sound guy on set, that was not cool)

had 1 day for prep and location scout and shot it in one day. took 5 days to edit and the director really knew her stuff, taught me a ton about audio mixing. crew consisted of me (camera operator, electric crew) and karen (grip crew, camera assistant).

so, what do you think, all things considered?

I liked it. I always think it's good to explore insane characters, and this was well shot. I don't know why you're being told to read the guidelines.

I think it looks very professional! Its like a promising intro to a psycho thriller. So yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing this expanded into a whole length movie. ;) The sound is crisp and you can tell that you guys put a lot of work into that. The acting is great too considering this was shot in one day. Btw, are the other videos also by you? "Filled in" is pretty funny.

although you hadn't a soundguy.. The sound is pretty good.

But...having a soundguy is always better (as you have might discovered).

This is the 2nd film that I see where someone gets killed by a pencil.... is this a new treat in US ? :-p
I also tried it...but the guy kept living...
