If it's too good to be true, etc. etc.....but this Panny tripod adapter is on eBay:

They don't accept returns for any reason, and I've never heard of them before. Still, it's a tempting price....

Powerdog, That is a great price. I would have been all over it, if I didn't already have one. I know people say other tripod plates will fit and they may but the plate from Panasonic is rock solid, the camera is
very secure and with the positive lock it really gives me piece of mind.

Panasonic. Sony and JVC use the same size plate. I've owned or used an HPX500, Beta SX cam and a JVC HD200 on the same tripod plate.

I got one for $75 so will be interested to see if it is a genuine panasonic product.

I use the sony U14 plates for my HPX301 and they do the job.

One reassuring thing I just learned: a seller's "no refunds" policy on eBay doesn't apply if the item is substantially different from its description.

Used Panny but in new condition. No other bidders, so got it for the minimum of $150. And he's got a 100% rating. Nothing else I buy...camera or accessory... will be such a bargain.

Just got that used Panny adapter, before the camera has arrived.

The front and back silver screws on the top look like they're adjustable. Are they?
