What do you drive?

Hey Penguin, what color are you going to paint it? I vote black.

Hey, you should start a poll... "What color should I paint my TA?"

We have a Honda Fit and an Audi A4. Both good on the juice. Thinking about selling the Audi and getting a grip truck.

2004 Subaru WRX wagon. Actually manage to fit all of my gear it, including three c-stands; three light stands; my Stormcase 2950 with my DVX, Brevis and matte box; a Cool Lights 4-bank flo; several sand bags; reflectors; Chinese lanterns; audio gear; grip bag. Sadly, I could not shoehorn in any talent.

I'd get an Element if they'd make a hybrid version so there'd be some low-end torque.

i actually have a camry and a focus. it makes me mad when i pull up to the pump and see a bunch of people still driving around in large SUVs like Nick has. what is wrong with you nick?! :badputer:

It only seats 7. :)

I just love to look down at people in their small fuel efficient cars and laugh. Just kidding...maybe. I just can't beat the power (T/A) and versatility (TrailBlazer).

--------------------------

I was going to paint it the original color, which is a teal blue deal, but I don't know. I would do black, because it would look sick, but the heat would be a bi*ch and it would constantly show dirt and dust (remember where I live).

I am going to get it blasted soon, and I guess you can choose your primer color. The paint will come in a few months after I redo the interior, so until then the real question is what color sealer should I use? Anyone?

It is a great ride. It's got the 6.6L 403 under the hood and you can feel it when you hit the peddle. I took it to the shop two days ago so that it will pass smog, I will probably pick it up tomorrow.

...an Audi A4.

I love Audi's, I've been looking at the A4 ... how do you like it?

I really like the looks of this one:

I would stick with gray... it's the easiest to paint over. If you can specify a brand, try and get them to use a Southern Polyurethanes primer.

Also, make sure they use an epoxy primer!

I drive a '96 Mazda B4000 pickup, and my wife has a '03 Ford Windstar. Of course I steal the windstar for gigs cause it holds so much stuff.

I'm selling our '03 Ford Explorer. It rules, but we are trying to pay off debt and I want to get rid of the payment. Any one interested! ;)

yeah ... people still drive their SUVs because they can't afford to get rid of them. Car dealers are jacking up the prices on small cars and offering pennies for SUVs.

If you are looking for an SUV and have a hybrid to trade in ... they'd probably give YOU money.

Thanks for the advice, I will probably do that. Although, since I will be driving it like that for a while this is pretty tempting:

Penguin. Black primer. It'll look sweet.

Also, the guy who got the T/A running is looking to sell his Rolls Royce. It's an early 80s and he has a 7.x liter V8 in that sucker. I guess it weighs almost 6000 pounds or something like that. He got it for free and it runs perfect and he is selling it for cheap. I was thinking about getting it so that I don't drive the T/A everyday...and to be a pimp. What do you guys think?

EDIT:

Hey, Nick. Did your folks drive that up from the Bahamas?

e

No. My Grandparents actually purchased it in LA back in 79 and barely drove it. About 7 years ago my Grandma got a new car and left the T/A in the driveway, saying I could have it when I was old enough. We always talked about putting it in the garage, but you know how things go, and the sun took its toll. :( But it is nice to see progress now...

we were at the dealer auction last week looking for a Car for my man and I kid you not a 2006 Prius with 30,000 miles sold for more than a fully loaded 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with 44,000 miles. Brand new that Yukon was over 50 grand. I could get rid of my Benz and get a Prius I would in heartbeat. I'm stuck for 2 more years on both. Man, I miss my bike.

Get it penguin. Rent it out for film shoots. I'll rent it. (If you pay for gas to get it here.)

A Rolls ... what kind of shape is the body/interior in? How much does he want for it? Would definitely be great as a picture car, if it's in good shape (of course depending on the film, having it in bad shape would be equally as beneficial, I guess :) )

41 Chevy Special Deluxe

It got a new paint job (seafoam green) and a petty sick old school hoped up 261 inline six now. With the Fish carb I get 22 mpg.

A 1958 Opel Olympia as daily driver and winter car.

Need to get me a pickup truck to haul my gear.

Something like a end 40s or early 50s Chevy or Ford

Frank

It's in really good shape and it runs fantastic. He said if I give him $3500 it's mine. He got it for free and put about $400 into it, so he will be making off with a good deal.

Alright. I will just make sure the rental cost is more than the cost of gas...bwahahahahaha! :)

2000 Malibu.

Clowncar. Total clowncar. I can fit more stuff in that car than it has a right too... Plus the rear seat folds down and a 9" seemless green screen fits perfectly in the car.
