What do you do besides filmmaking, and how do you have time for it?

Ahh... you mean the ahem, "incident"........

mw2 and nba live 10. edit weddings and travel whenever i have money, which hasn't happened much since i finished my feature surf film...starting to get the ball rolling with my one of my partners doing high end weddings this year, and in talks with a tv station about doing 10 episodes of something...that part still needs to be figured out but my other partner has a knack for selling and finding sponsors...so aside from video games my only focus this year is to make a schwackload of $$$

Unfortunately, filmmaking is a hobby rather than a profession for me. But, I'm hoping to change that this year. I'm going to do something that may prove to be colossally stupid, I'm going to quit my job and move to Nashville. Either go to MTSU and get a second degree in Electronic Media Production and freelance while in school, or get a full-time videographer job. I have the opportunity to do either.

otherwise i race bikes :)

It's never stupid to follow your dream. There may be consequences, but they are rarely more significant than a life unfulfilled.

Wow everyones lives seem so film filled =p. Unfortunately I'm still in school and must pay my way through so I work full time at Gamestop, and film has become a hobby/sometimes professional job. If I'm not trying to learn more about film I'm usually sleeping because I'm wiped from 17 credits and 30-50 hours of work :D

Psh, for me it's more a matter of what do I do besides school and monotonous interview shoots for my job. Filmmaking is unfortunately not in my timeframe right now...

But my hobbies? Oh man, video encoding really IS my hobby; it's a passion, and sadly not a profession. I want to take this in the direction of DIs, telecine operation, color grading, etc, but I'm still looking for a way to apply those skills while in school. Not exactly easy.

Other than that, I guess computer hardware, anime, games, and building Gundam models would be my other hobbies, though honestly less so these days. I'm a nerd in remission most of the time, and when I find the time, I indulge in those hobbies. I try to watch movies whenever possible, though I just can't bother to see most in the theaters; I should probably get a Netflix one of these days...

today i slept in till about 1:15. i'm about to take a shower. then it's off to go eat some fried chicken. after chick-fil-a, i'll stop off at either a children's playground or walmart. then i'll probably come home and get on the internet for a couple of hours. hopefully put away some of the items i've been hoarding in the den. eat again. watch some tv. play some video games. close the night with a movie and more internet. sleep.

Use to be sports and the gym. Rugby was the toughest sport I've ever played and fencing probably the most physically and mentally challenging sport. My coach was the #1 Epee champion for USA so that made it really super cool.

I knew I was no longer fearless in sports when I went mountain biking by myself and went down a steep hill and yelled, "Oh My God" all the way down. I was also almost hit by a car while biking with a friend for 20 miles on highway 1. The front bumper of the car almost touched my thigh.

Sports is the bomb. If I were healthy, I'd join a co-ed touch football team they have posted on Craisglist.

Doc - my coach fenced with Epee, I started out with a Foil and before I could move on to Epee I got a hairline fracture on my wrist and spent the next few months
fencing with my coach with sponged swords. If only I had a photo of that!!!

Foil sucks, too many rules.
