Do I use a lens cleaner?

Also, Im getting wobbly lines (whatever they are) in my video and parts of the video is pixilated looking....should I use my cleaning tape as I've never used it before and havnt had the camera long.

Cheers.

use a lens cleaning kit to clean ur filters same as ur lens.

pixilated footage can be a result of dirty heads. cleaning tapes are usually a no no unless ur using it in an emergency (in the field). they are pretty harsh on the heads and should be avoided. Personally i clean my heads myself as thats much safer and can be done as often as u like. Took some guts for me to do that...and if ur uncomfortable doing it or not sure..then my advise would be to not do it. here are the instructions. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=6888
(Page 18 has the dvx100b pics as that is different from the 100 or 100a. the cleaning tips on the first page still apply though.)

Cleaning tapes shouldn't be used often. You can opt to send it in to an authorized dealer for cleaning. Ask the New Zealanders on the site where's good.

Thanks for your help Jambredz.

Do you mean wobbly lens like the entire part beyond the zoom ring is wobbly, because I have that too but I'm not sure if that's normal...

Wobbly lines in the footy Andy

Your situation doesn't sound normal. Everything is pretty sturdy on mine.

I mean like, when the camera moves you sometimes see these wobbly lines, like that effect you see on some dvds where something in the video wobbles, almost like a light reflection/strobing effect, i cant really describe it, as im crap at putting things into words. Sorry lol.
