there's this success principle that you should "dress for the job you want"
this got me thinking- what's the cliche director's outfit?
no, im not talking abut the old jockey pants and megaphone.
I always think directors are "dressed down", like Ive seen pictures of Bryan Singer in sweats and sports gear
and of course Sam Raimi and I think at least one other director does the thing where they dress up, like a suit basically.
Lloyd Kaufman from Troma jokes that you should either dress better than everyone else, so you look like the boss, or worse than everyone else so you look like you dont give a crap and youre an artist just here to make art.
