what case do you use?

Another vote for storm cases. I've got a couple of storm and a couple of pelican's and greatly prefer the Storm cases. Both are extremely sturdy, but I like the wheel and latches of the storm cases much better.

I have a Pelican but actually prefer Storm Cases. They are also lighter which really makes a different if you get the bigger sizes.

Today my storm case showed up! so far I can say that it is a great case, the handle feels smooth and it built like a tank.

here are some photos of it with my hmc and rode ntg-2 mic

I use a Pelican 1550 for my HVX. Along with the camera, it can hold—an external hard drive, 3 batteries (including one in camera), a wide angle adapter, wireless lav system, shotgun mic, filters, 2 extra p2 cards, and a few extras. Here is a picture.

PortaBrace PB-2600 for my HVX. It is rock solid and I love it. The only problem is that when I bought it I had no idea what I was doing with the pick&pluck foam so I didn't do a great job right off, and since then I have added several small things to the case and have had several rushed situations where I had to throw everything back in the case and move fast... this has left the foam more plucked than I intended. So here I am looking to replace the foam so I can start from scratch...
While looking into that I had a really bad idea. The only other thing I ever wish my PB had is a shoulder strap, but there are no rings on the case. Has anyone else ever been brave/dumb enough to try to mod their own case by drilling a few holes for the purpose of adding a shoulder strap? I have a hunch this could go horribly awry, but I can't get the idea out of my head.
