I took your advice and bought a Sandisk Ultra II at Best Buy. Thank you again.
A quick question I had is that it is rated Class 4 and I believe Panny says to use 6 or above. Will this work flawlessly or possibly drop data (ie skipped frames etc) in 1080 24P?
I just grabbed a Sandisk Ultra at Best Buy as well. It's a 16 gig model and was $90. The tag on the shelf said Sandisk Ultra II but I just noticed as I was about to open it that it just says Sandisk Ultra on the packaging and the card. I checked out Sandisk's website and there's no mention of a plain "Sandisk Ultra" in their products section and the specs on the one I have say "up to 15MB/s - 100x" (it's class 4 just like the Ultra II) so is this usable or should I return it before I open it? Thanks.
yeah, I just checked best buy's website and they have an 16 GB Ultra II listed for the same price that I payed, but it clearly says "Ultra II" on the card. I just need to shoot a few minutes of footage immediately so I may just get the smallest card I can find right now and order the 16 gig Ultra II from Amazon for under $40 (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra...2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252272259&sr=8-2)
I ended up going with a cheap-ass $15 4 gig one. I'll still need something more reliable as a could end up using the GH1 on interview shoots for work rather than renting an HVX every time.
