What Camera?

I'm from the UK and was wondering what camera (DSLR) I should get. No more than £550. Not sure how much that is in dollars. I'm 13 and want the best camera possible for that price. The features it must have are:

External Audio Output Socket- (For external mic recording)
Full HD (1920x1080p)
A Good Shutter Speed
At least 12MP stills (for taking still frames for posters etc...)
An all round decent camera to be honest.

I was thinking about getting the T2i (EOS 550D). Not sure though. Can anyone here on dvxuser recommend any decent DSLR's.

I would like to point out just now that the main use of this camera will be to film. I will probably be using it seriously for commercial use so it has to be the best one out there for the price.

Thanks

The T2i is a decent investment for the price, but remember that most of the cost in a DSLR investment goes into the glass. The sensor is the same in the T2i, T3i, 60D, and 7D so similar stills and video can be expected regardless of which camera you get. Just google the cameras and check out the features and see which ones apply to your shooting style and preferences and make a choice on that.

both GH2 and T2i are great alternatives: the T2i takes much better stills, and has a nicer image and colors, but that's a bit subjective; the GH2 delivers sharper and cleaner images and, with the hack, has a much better codec, but it's mor expensive and falls a bit over your stated budget; for other people finding this thread, I'd also add the NEX-5N to the mix, but that one has no mic input so it's not for you - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...p=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00452TG90 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...p=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B0037KM0F8
