Arri SR3. looks like to me.
a super16mm camera.

Ah, great. I first thought about that, but the magazines looked to small. So, Super 16 is really that small? Because those 35mm magazines are on top of the cameras. But say, how do they get a live preview? Is there a camera inside filming the view finder?

Nice. So it is HD. Analog HD. :) Eh, this means, it is ligther than the HVX? And how about he image quality? It should have the same resolution as the HVX, right? But what about noise and color "space"?

They use a device called a "video tap." I think it's still called that anyway. :>)
Been a few years since I've done that type of work. There's a small video camera that captures the viewfinder image.

Most cinema cameras have variable frame rates available as a basic feature set or by changing motors. Arriflex cameras, for instance, accept external motors for different work.

For sync-sound work, you'd use the Crystal Sync motor, for non-synchronous shooting at variable speeds, a variable motor. Higher-end cameras (Arriflex, Panavision, MovieCam, Aaton) often have crystal and variable motors combined in a single unit.

Are these grabs of a music video ?

Looks like "Tokyo Hotel", a band from Germany, made to win the under 15 market. They´re not more horrible than most of the other pop stuff out there, but because of their age they are just more anoying...

You can watch the clip here, directly from the Universal newsletter:

Don't listen to Spartacus, Tokio Hotel are _the_ music group since the invention of sliced bread. After seven months, the have won all prices there are, and are now embarking on an international career, including the United States. Their second video "Schrei" (German for "scream") was shot on DVX's by the way.

Yes, It is still called a video tap and was invented by Jerry Lewis, believe it or not...

Judging from the one song I heard, I'm with you Spartacus... The rock ballad should be put to rest and the "punk rock ballad" should have never existed....

And this is why the song went from 0 to 1 in both Germany and Austria?

Now now...let's not bicker and argue about who killed who. Aren't we discussing cameras and footage and such. Talk of music, who rocks, and who doesn't, I believe are for a different website. Back to the matter at hand...well, all of the questions have been answered accurately so there is no more to add here.
