What camera gear can do shots like this?

Okay thanks. Aside from a dolly, what else are they using to pan up and down? Are they using just a regular fluid head? Because it looks like that it is not panning, it's elevating. It looks like it could be a jib moving the camera up and down, cause it does not look like the camera is tilting, but rather elevating, as the characters get up and sit down. Especially in the medium shot of the guy getting up, since the camera I think would have to tilt upright more, if it was a fluid head tilt.

This being fifty years ago, it's most likely to be a geared head like a Worrall, on a crab dolly like the Moviola or Mcallister which have hydraulic arms to provide smooth booming.

FYI, your terminology is a bit erratic, so to clarify: pan is left/right, tilt is up/down (axial rotation). Booming is vertical displacement.

Thought about a mini skater dolly?
I built a clone a few years back for low dough.

If you try putting a larger camera on that or use it on unlevel rocky/grassy flooring, it wont be fun. Skater dollies only work with extremely smooth ground

Worked with a DP who refused to use that simple terminology correctly. I was always tilting the dolly up and panning it down... Well in his words the little "cart" or "wagon"... Ahh heavens

I mounted my former red one on it all the time. And when I needed flat ground where there was not, I would add the appropriate size piece of birch ply and wedges.
