What are your thoughts on this?

It's usually a scam from a hijacked ebay account when they list a different email address in the auction. Always email through ebay only, you should report it to eBay safe harbor for investigation to see if they remove the listing. they will know if the account has been hijacked.

I wouldnt say so

On the sale page

COD ACCEPTED - DONT GET SCAMMED, WE SHIP THE ITEM TO YOU AND YOU PAY THE FEDEX GUY WHEN IT ARRIVES.

If you want it take that option, open it and check all items are there, quickly power it up make sure it works before you even pay. All good hand over the cash.

If they turn around and say pay before we send, say no sorry. You had this option, so its a breach and you can walk away anyway.

I do a lot of Ebaying and this looks legit to me. Usually if it is a hijacked auction, they will say like....Do not bid on this item unless you email me first for the buy it now price of "Whatever" Look at their feeback...IMO seems pretty legit to me.

If im not mistaken, he has sold that EXACT package 5 times!!!
Look at completed listings... How the hell does he have 5 of them?!! Were all of them used on the same movie?!

WAYYYY TOO SUSPICIOUS FOR ME.
I feel sorry for all the retarded souls out there...

I tried to say all of those same things to him about it as well, but just wanted it to come from a few other sources to make him beleive. I appreciate you al for giving your input. I actually swayed him into getting an A1 instead of the h1 so save a ton of money. Thanks again!

I currently own 3 XLh1s, and I used to own 5. I bought and sold all of them on this forum, dvininfo.net and Ebay.

This price is very good, although not completely out of the ball-park. I sold almost the exact same package on ebay for $5,000. XLH1s are going for around $5,000 quite often, if you keep your eyes open.

His claim that it is worth $13,000 is the most outrageous statement. he prices out all the parts, as if anyone would buy it one piece at a time and pay msrp for every piece. Ridiculous. The camera body, lens, viewfinder, batter, charger, etc all come together, brand new from B&H for only $6,499 and B&H currently has one for sale used for $5,499, and their used prices are always on the high-side.

The extra dual-charger, light and pelican make the entire set worth, maybe $6,000, although, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for $5,500. So it's a good deal, but not nearly as much of a steal as they are trying to make is sound. The claim that it was used on a movie could be bull. How would you ever know if he, supposedly, can't confirm which movie. That could easily be a lie to move the product, not that it matters, if the camera is in good shape.

The price does not, necessarily, make it a scam. If you can truly get it COD, it is probably legit.
