Oh yeah! Actually, it's Bogdanovich's Runnin' Down a Dream. Great stuff!
I grew up about 3 blocks from Petty, went to school with his younger brother.
Started seeing his first band Mudcrutch (when he played bass) at age 14...
Great American Roots Rock.

You're right, I was mixing it up with Scorsese's Rolling Stone doc.

Sarah Vaughan. My god. Where has that talent gone these days. We used to take that for granted.

Billy Harvey. Nails it in his own down-to-earth way. Really cool.

-Cheers. Good listening.

Here's one for you lyric writers free of charge. 'somebody cheer me up"

Pretty self explanatory.

Listening to this. I was there when this was recorded. Freaking incredible, I was a huge Doors fan and an X fan. Ray was the man!

What new camera are you putting a presentation together for? ;). Just kidding. (So many trying to pry info about it)

A really nice camera!

The Sorcerer soundtrack is great as is the entire film, especially if you like to explore the dark side of humanity. It's pretty guttural stuff, to the point that there are vast swaths of the film with no dialog. The music is integral to the film. The story was originally brought to the screen in the equally good but slightly less nihilistic The Wages of Fear.
