What are you listening to now ?

Okay, point is when is North America going to catch up?

From Slovenia as well.

Kool. Going to have to check this more.

(in response) I always considered the ukelele a toy instrument until I came across Jake a few years ago. Was very impressed with his skill.
Always have liked Avril Lavigne. I consider her to be a rebel of sorts to the typicla (these days) young musicians.

Recently (2013.04.28) saw...
Stolen Babies (Interesting, used standup bass, accordian on some songs. Female singer with range and a great metal scream)
Lacuna Coil (Italian metal, 2 singers, 1 male, 1 fairly hot female)
Coal Chamber (Female Bass player (3rd bassist, all female) and the band I went to see)
Sevendust (Very loud by the time they came on. Think they reaised the volume with each band. Course I was directly under the speakers with no hearing protection. Missed my alarm the next morning)

(these videos from Corpus Cristi, I saw the Dallas show)

Back in the 70's there was an all female rock band called The Runaways (I have a vinyl disk) Did not realize there was video until this morning, Joan Jett and Lita Ford were members.

K, think I'm done for now.

This OST cover of RL Burnside from the musical interlude in Holy Motors has been on high rotation ever since I saw the movie a couple of months ago. Don't know if it has the same impact if you haven't seen the movie but every time I hear it, it recalls the exaltation of that moment. It was exactly what the movie needed at that moment, completely out of left field in a movie that was already in the bleachers.

Maybe North America is starting to accept woman metal bands after all.
Courtney Cox, not of the film fame, is getting around also.
