GH2 What are the 3 best fixed lenses for cinematic look (under $1,000 total) ?

I'd love to see what you think looks cinema vs what doesnt look cinema. An example video would be cool.

I think that most folks could go with the following description:
"Not overly sharp or literal in color reproduction in the manner that VIDEO has shown it can excel at - (especially in the application of forensics and documentation)."

CINEMATOGRAPHY aspects aside - some lenses really just really give a different look. "Cinematic" is defined differently by too many people to be useful. The term "artful" might be better maybe. When I say the Voightlander .9 looks artful - I mean it can produce looks that may remind you of something you might see on an art gallery wall. In many cases it will give a very different look than the 4 most popular Panasonic lenses even when pointed at the same scene with the same camera settings.
These 'artful' looks may indeed by technically less realistic looking, but in a manner that most viewers seem to identify as pleasant or appealing.

You can get the SLR magic direct. I use it probably even more than the nockton.. which I love. Something you just need something that wide and the stopless aperature is great. That is by far the best deal on the market for a fast wide...

I also like the 35mm 1.4 that a few places make. That's my next purchase. I've got about 4K invested in lens, but it's still not enough and there's gaps in there that I see. Like the 7-14 is pricey, but sometimes it's the only thing that will work.. and it looks great!

The Nokton people also announced a new micro 4/3 lens that sounds fantastic. It has the ability to turn off the stepped aperature. IT's a 17mm .95. To me, man that might be the super special spot. I love the 25 but it's limiting cause it's really a 50, but it depends. I wish I could get eveything I want.... LOL
