What are some decent LED panels out there nowadays?

Saw a review of the Dracast Bi-Color on line which was not encouraging …..

Bought three of the Dracast lights. One came with a broken power supply. After weeks of hounding them for a replacement I finally got one. When I plugged it in it shorted out the building. The quality on these is terrible. They have plastic lock downs and are built cheap, cheap, cheap. I would NEVER recommend them for a professional production.

Quite the opposite of BlindDog's experience. Do you have the latest generation? Would you recommend Litepanels 1x1?

jixkk,
That looks pretty good. I like the barn doors and the fact that it has a remote dimmer as I like to use these as backlights & with a remote dimmer you don't need a n extra hap air of hands to adjust for interviews.
I have the 900 from ephor that looks the same.

3 questions
- How is the color, do you need to add -green to it?
- I noticed the same company sells what they call a cheap 1260 LED but the lux/m is lower?
Any idea what the difference is? I like the wider shape for backlights . No remote dimmer apparently.
- How do you like the bag that comes with it?

The output seems similar to the Yongnuo 900 but its bigger (softer) and doesn't have the fan issue.

I think this one is better than the ephoto 900 led. I like the compact size, very light-weight.

- The color is not best. But it meets our needs. I used more often with the softbox.

- I don't have the cheap 1260 LED. Maybe it has lower CRI. I ever contacted with the guy Yang and he recommended me the 1024 LED. But the price is great with 1260 leds, same features as their 900 led. Their led panels are nearly all flood. You could contact them if you need the remote controller. They are very pleased to customize for customers. I have several led lights from the company and many accessories. Until now, I'm very satisfied with the quality.

- The included bag is good quality.

I don't know about factories etc. What I do know is several top guys (experienced, long-time gaffers/DPs) in town like those lights, and that's the endorsement for me.

I have the same bi colour featherlight 1024LED panel as Ikan but unbranded for half the price. They come of the same factory in China. I love it for $500 so far but wouldn't pay Ikan price.

It's great that they like them, and that's enough for you. But a little research, as RatLabProductions points out, shows the same panel branded differently is only $546, as opposed to Ikan's price of $1210. Thats a savings of $664 per light.

I believe that review is for an older model light. The new Dracasts have a blue aluminum housing and are very sturdy. As I said, build quality and the color of the light (5600K) are the best I've seen.

Nice, I see not difference what so ever (at least from the pictures). Any lights that are weatherproofed? So far I found Cineo Maverick (which is expensive...)

That is pretty messed up if it's exactly the same product only under a different name, but how could one be sure? They almost all look identical anyway. . .

Sometimes they're the same, sometimes they're not. I really don't know in this case, but I've seen models that look identical but have radically different internals and thus radically different performance. It's a gamble.

Look over the specs.

An internet search usually turns up the manufacturing originator.

Another example is the Dedolight Felloni LED which is priced high like the Ikan, but packaged as brand X from the same factory in China is only $500.
