Quite the opposite of BlindDog's experience. Do you have the latest generation? Would you recommend Litepanels 1x1?Saw a review of the Dracast Bi-Color on line which was not encouraging …..
Bought three of the Dracast lights. One came with a broken power supply. After weeks of hounding them for a replacement I finally got one. When I plugged it in it shorted out the building. The quality on these is terrible. They have plastic lock downs and are built cheap, cheap, cheap. I would NEVER recommend them for a professional production.
im tellin you, that 3 light bi color dimmable 1x1 ikan kit is $3k...
jixkk,
That looks pretty good. I like the barn doors and the fact that it has a remote dimmer as I like to use these as backlights & with a remote dimmer you don't need a n extra hap air of hands to adjust for interviews.
I have the 900 from ephor that looks the same.
3 questions
- How is the color, do you need to add -green to it?
- I noticed the same company sells what they call a cheap 1260 LED but the lux/m is lower?
Any idea what the difference is? I like the wider shape for backlights . No remote dimmer apparently.
- How do you like the bag that comes with it?
The output seems similar to the Yongnuo 900 but its bigger (softer) and doesn't have the fan issue.

I don't know about factories etc. What I do know is several top guys (experienced, long-time gaffers/DPs) in town like those lights, and that's the endorsement for me.

Could you direct where to get them?I have the same bi colour featherlight 1024LED panel as Ikan but unbranded for half the price. They come of the same factory in China. I love it for $500 so far but wouldn't pay Ikan price.
But a little research, as RatLabProductions points out, shows the same panel branded differently is only $546, as opposed to Ikan's price of $1210. Thats a savings of $664 per light.
