What adopter to choose for: FD, EF, and Nikkor?

Hello

i was going to buy a new lens m4/3 Pany 25mm f1.4, as i need something for a very low light, but the more i was reading about it , the more the desire of buying was going away....

so i decide do go and use some lens with adopters.... but would like to ask for an advice which one to get? i am looking into these 3 systems: canon FD, Canon EF, and adopter for nikkor (i believe that its a Nikon with a manual iris, if i am wrong plz correct me ), i am probably going to buy 1 from each of them.

Here is what i found so far:

1. Adopter for Canon FD to m4/3 :
as its seems like i dont need iris here, canon fd lenses have it, so all i am care about is something that is build great, nice solid peace, that will not falls off by it self, that will hold the lens tight.
here is what i would :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-FD-FL...475?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cbe9f4813

if some one used it plz let us all know how is it? and plz post some other FD adopters that will be good to use, both and cheaper and more expansive models!

2. Canon EF to m/3, i know its been discussed few times already, but still i would like to ask about a few ! i dont want to use any electronic adopters , here i am interested only in mechanical models with and with out iris control. Same criteria - something that will sit on cam and hold the lens like it should - nice and tight!
from what i understood the Kipon adopter is far from perfect solutions, not only it will vignettes but also as i heard it allows for some light to come from the sides

i am not sure if these are kipon , but seems liek price and look a little different from what i ve seen earlier if anyone used them, let me know:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-EOS-E...230653597529?pt=AU_Lenses&hash=item35b4069759
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-EOS-E...397?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2568d64f35

i also would conciser something solid with out iris control for EF!

3. Nikkor to m4/3. I dont know anything about the nikon lenses or cameras, so i maybe mistaken here, but as i understood the Nikkor goes for lenses with manual iris, or if i am mistaken i would like to tell that i consider nikon lenses only with Manual iris!

any adopter ? plz post cheap and more expansive , and of course the ones u are using or used and how do they behave!

regards

If you want a large-aperture, "normal" lens for the AF100, you're probably better off going with the Panasonic/Leica 25/1.4 than an adapted 35mm SLR lens. On the 24x36mm photo format, a lens in the 24-25mm range is a wide angle, and the affordable, mainstream models normally top out at f/2.0 or so. Although Canon, Nikon and Leica all make 24/1.4 lenses for 24x36 cameras, they are very large and expensive -- from about $1,100 for the Nikon to over $6,000 for the Leica when I looked just now. The Sigma 30/1.4 (designed for APS-C size still camera sensors) is a possibility if you buy it in Nikon or Four Thirds mount, but it will still need an adapter for the AF100 Micro Four Thirds body that will probably bring its total cost in higher than the Panny. The "PanaLeica" has the additional advantages of fully functioning autofocus and auto-iris when used on the AF100.

I do realize there are other concerns like resale value or compatibility with other, future cameras that are valid considerations as well, but the Panasonic lens seems to be uniformly well liked by its owners here. (I don't have one yet, but it's literally on my wish list.)

buying so called leica for video camcorder, i dont think its even an option any more - breathing, about AF - i did not find a review yet where its says that m4/3 Pany 25mm f/1.4 supports Auto focus on AF100, and or how good it is, its useless to use it with follow focus, the electronic ff will ad noise to it, and also with manual focusing as i understood it will give a very short focus turn (sorry my english is not perfect not sure how to explain it) - finding focus with in 1-2mm distance is extremely hard, i have that pany 14-50 and its very hard to focus.

in fact i was holding my visa in my hand a week a go and was going to buy that pany 25mm , but decided to read a little and was disappointed just like about any pany & oly lens that i had.

about 4/3 - m4/3 adopter - its not a problem as i already have it, but after i gave a 2nd thought on sigma 30 mm f/1.4, i decided that i dont wont to buy another crappy (i am scared that it has same problems that other 4/3 lenses) lens for like 500$, its soft on wide open and no AF, all i can do is change the iris from camcorder but i dont think that option worth 500$, i better buy canon FD 50mm f/1.4 probably same softness on wide open , but 50$ - 100$ against 500$, and as i understood on manual lens i ll be able to do a normal focus turns ....

i would maybe consider sigma 30 f1.4 in canon mount, so i could use it later, but need a good adopter for af100, maybe even with out iris control.....

i think most who buys pany or oly lenses also have pany cameras like gh1...... then its maybe worth it, as u can use it for pics as well and as b camera....., i am not the one, - i have my old canon 30d and i dont think i ll run from it.

anyway thank you for your comment!

My advice would be to steer well clear of those e-bay adaptors. I tried a couple of the Canon FD adaptors and they turned out to be pretty lightweight, so much so that when pulling focus the lens actually moved in the mount giving image shift. They were rubbish.

I now use a CanonFD-MFT adaptor made by MTF in the UK. Its a lot more expensive than the e-bay ones, but it is heavy, solid and does the job really well.

yes i heard about that one, but its kind of damn expansive, if say true i would buy something cheaper for fd, but i would get maybe good and expansive one for EF even with out iris control
