FS7: What adapter to use for FS7 and Canon 24-70 2.8?

So I got hold of a Canon 24-70 for 200 dollars (autofocus does not work and I don't need it).

I want the cheapest adapter out there to make it work on my FS7, since this is my only Canon lens. There are plenty of them on Ebay, like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lens-Adapte...828347?hash=item4af722bafb:g:xGwAAOSwZG9WlIFZ

Problem is that they have the 24-70 on the list, but onyl the Mark II version of the lens. Mine is this Mark I. Any idea if the mark I should also work since mark II works, should be the same thing maybe? As I said I am only out after aperture control, autofocus is not needed.

Any experience of the adapter that I linked to, or any other similar adapter in that price range?

Any help would be appreciated!

Assuming the electronics in your lens isn't completely fried it should work fine. I have a few different adapters, they all work with my Canon 24-70mm mk1.

Thanks for the fast reply! Do you enjoy the 24-70 with the FS7, worth the money?

No they all work fine, the guy I got it from said that the AF stopped working when he used it on a Sony camera. The funny thing is that he sais that the AF does not work on his C100 but works on any E mount camera with a speedbooster. Go figure...?
I've seen that some adapter has an issue where it goes all the way open and then adjusts to whatever F stop you want it to be on. Is this a standard thing with all adapters?

Only other bad thing about it is that the zoom ring is a bit stiff, but that's not a big deal either.

I mainly use mine for stills. It only occasionally goes on the FS7. Good solid performer.

My plan was to use it as a run n gun lens, weddings and such. My 18 35 1.8 is great but the reach isn't the best, so this would be a great all-round lens (that's my plan at least).

I use the 24-70 most of the time on the FS7, great combo. I can't recommend cheap adapters since I use Metabones Speedbooster and Mk4. I mostly use it with the Speedbooster, turns the lens into a FF lens at 2.0. Love it.

I'm actually not interested in the speedbooster since I want to have a bit longer reach on the lens, since my Sigma 18-35 covers the wider range this lens would be a great combo if I need to have a tighter frame.

Now I'm waiting for the Canon adapter that I linked in the first post. Here's a clip of the zoom that's a bit stiff. What I understand this is normal on this lens, but since I've never had a single Canon lens I don't know, what do you think from looking at this clip of the lens? : https://youtu.be/KX6sXGqsW0k

So with the adapter, I simply assign the dial on the side of the FS7 body to IRIS and the lens will respond to the dial turning? That's pure luxury for me coming from Nikon lenses with adapters with rings you turn to adjust the iris.

Yes, the zoom ring on the 24-70 II is stiff so it's very difficult to do a smooth zoom on camera. Not that you want to zoom during a shot normally, but for shooting events like a wedding or conference when you want to smoothly zoom in it can be a pain.
