Just a quick comment. While watching videos of the GH13 over the past several weeks....one of the things that we have started doing, (that we were not before).....is posting FULL SCREEN GRABS.

*ASK YOURSELF* Why have we started doing that? Plain and simple, the footage from the GH13 is now BETTER than ANY STREAMING VIDEO CAN SHOW. I know that I lost quality posting T2i vids...not *THAT MUCH*...not enough that I'd rather post a FULL SCREEN CAPTURE. The online stuff was close enough to the "real thing" that it didn't really matter.

We've turned a corner....the GH13 is *MUCH BETTER* than the BEST video streaming video option out there. I remember hearing the rant-sessions over at Reduser about how our stuff only looks good streamed online....we've turned a corner....it's not about them, but every time I look at screen captures compared to the video posted online....I KNOW....We've turned a corner.

It's a great time to be an Indie Film-maker!
 
+1 I agree that the benefits of the extremely high bit rates show even in the compressed streaming versions. However, I don't think the difference between 720p and 1080p shows up as much once it is compressed again.

I keep going back to the video below and saying that looks more like 3D than most "3D" I have seen.

Hahah! This is a good point. Not only that, but there's on shame in posting full res grabs anymore. Someone nitpicking about the low resolution just isn't going to happen, so we're all more liable to look through the footage and snatch some awesome stills to post.
