102 tapes, 2 days to make 15 minute promo for next week at las vegas for some magic car convention. I almost crap my in my pants...I got away with a 6 minute promo they can loop. Now that I'm done, I can finally enjoy the sci-fi fest. If you like fancy cars, hots chics, random effects.. check it out!

Nice work! And an impressive feat. How'd you get that done in two days with all that footage? What was your process? Did you log clips or dump the whole tape onto the hard drive?

It coulda used some CC in places I think but I'm sure it woulda been way better if you had more time, right?
 
Use to watch 'pimp my ride' but I prefer the makeover of 'overhauling' instead.

Nice job...I shoot a lot of Custom Car shows here on the east coast. I am about to start editing a promo sometime this week. I will have to say even though I am a big fan of Hip Hop music, I am not sure if the song used in this promo would be appropriate if they had it playing in their shop. I am referring to the lyrics. I like how you cut the video to the music though. Did you work on the Pimp My Ride show or you just know the owners? I heard MTV is using another shop for the next season of Pimp My Ride. I guess there was some sort of fall out with the guys from West Coast Customs.

The gig came from the company that owns me. haha. Im basically freelance but im in association with 800kamerman, this one of the projects they have going on, they passed this to me and thats how I got it. So I had two days to work on this, cuz I had to leave to NYC for a music video shoot, if I had a laptop...... time wouldn't be an issue. Ryan the main guy, just wanted to showcase the cars and the WC brand. So its basically finding all the beauty shots, the wc logo and hot chics. :P The hard part was finding them because of the documentary style shooting. It didn't help that tapes weren't logged. I usually dump the whole tape in my hard drive for projects like shorts and music videos but this since there is 104 tapes .. no space and no time!

mad editing on that one lol. lots of post zooms and stuff eh? 2 days eh? damn of lost some sleep from this. Well, I would have but maybe im just a slow editor :P.

Man, have you ever SEEN the pimp my ride guys OUTSIDE of the show? All they do is curse, mac hoes and smoke. Only grown men come into the shop to get their whips done. The type of men that will ask what they want while smoking a blunt after coming form the tatt parlor. Edit out the music for WHAT/WHO? In case some CHILD wants to come to the shop and Pimp his big wheel? Get serious.​
