We're under attack!!!!! Sony NEX-7, A77, A65, NEX5N

Me thinks the nex 7 could be my last camera. Well, better not commit myself to an impossibility ! But it´s getting pretty close to perfect for a hybrid .

Oooops. SONY is back.
It will be quite confusing for one to choose a camera now, but I think It is another good reason not to invest in EF Canon lenses and to go vintage.
Hopefully my 5dii will not be obsolete anytime soon... :)

Indeed kurth!!!! Looks like a very special cam. I can't wait!!!!

After looking at the specs from the A77, A65 , and Nex 5N, there´s no 40+mp sweep panorama mode like in your little hx9v ! I was really depending on that ! And I think I can assume if it´s not in the 3 other cameras, it won´t be in the Nex 7. Oops.....I´m seeing a Nex 7N in the crystal ball ! Wait...it´s coming into focus.....

Well, it´s ok, ´cause the new soon to be announced Panasonic Power zoom lens will be first on my list anyhow .

But physically the Nex 7 is all I ever wanted ! .....just with a large file sweep pany mode . And Sony could add 720/120p anytime they want as well ! Then I could go to cameraheaven.

yes gentlemen and HHL would tell you, since he owns one, that the hx9v has a 40+mp sweep pany mode that´s approx. 10mp by 4 mp which equals a 40+mp file - the new cameras have the same little files as their predecessors - a big disappointment for anyone who would like to print large on an epson wide format printer....such as myself.

The sweep pany mode is wicked peeps. I swear, the first time you use it, you're hooked. Sony should add this feature into ever device they ever release ever again. Even their high end coffee maker line. lol (Seriously though folks...it's WICKED)

Specs I have seen for the new NEX cameras show they don't support SteadyShot Inside, the lens being the only IS function available. I was hoping that the impressive stabilisation seen in the Sony HX9V might be carried over into the latest NEX cameras. The NEX5N looks good value though.

WOWSER! The NEX-5N is looking PReeeeeeetttty SSSAAAWWWWEEEEEETTTTT!!!!!!

This video doesn't show any mojo, but the size and features are CRAZY tempting for an "almost" pocket cam. 1080/24P, 108060P, Full Manual Control in video, INSANE low-light photos (not sure for video yet), EXPANDABLE with the A Mount lenses including auto focus for photo and video....and more. DANG! I'm looking forward to owning this little baby for SURE! :)

I am sure it was. You saw the emphasis on shots were aliasing would show but didn't? I don't think Sony would be dumb and shoot their promos with a different camera. But hey you never know.

Love the Sony NEX-7... and the dial wheels on the top are crucial and amazing... however it seems you can't make the top two wheels a combo of ISO and shutter.... ISO is for the third wheel only (not on top)?! WTF... Some of us choose not to use the super terrible E-mount lenses and the better Alpha (A mount) lenses...

My film camera, a Nikon FE-2, has two dials on the top, ISO and shutter, because the other hand is on the lens, changing focus, aperture, and sometimes focal length...

Sony again shows how dumb they are to professional needs.... if I were to use Zeiss Nikons, Canon lenses, PL Cine lenses, etc.... I want the top wheels to be ISO and shutter, because I'll have aperture on the lens... but it seems ISO will only be on the back wheel.

However, this is a HUGE improvement over my NEX-5, I own now. You have to enter a menu to change ISO.

If I were to make one ridiculous request, it would be to have a hot button assigned for changing color temperature. I surprise myself how often I change my CT. I guess it's the filmmaker in me.

Consider me very, VERY excited for the NEX-7. It sounds like precisely the the mirror-less camera I've been waiting for (with good manual controls, and high-quality video). I just hope it will offer inputs for a decent microphone.

I was hoping for regular mic input on the NEX-7 but it seems like Sony is pushing us to buy Their hot shoe mic, that's the only option. if you want a line mic input, The A77 is the one to buy. :(

Who shoots @ 12800 ISO? I compared images at a more realistic 1600 ISO and the 5D had less noise and was sharper than the NEX-5N.

The mic input on the A-77 is pretty useless without level controls, meters, or a headphone output. A juicedlink might make it useable.
