Well I caved and got the NTG-3 kit :)

Glad to hear that the boom pole deal is going on at least as long as the blimp deal. I'll continue to spread the word to anyone interested in an NTG-3.

And you still haven't figured it out? It's just a mic! There are no moving parts.

I believe he is referring to the $1 blimp deal. However, I may be wrong.

@ESTEBEVERDE: If you are in fact referring to the mic not working, be sure your using phantom power! It is required.

Glad that some of you guys were able to jump in on this deal. There is a few days left. Chad - thanks for helping spread the word. Let me know when you want that Sennheiser 2000 series and I'll help ya out. We still have about 7 NTG-3's in stock and RODE has plenty of blimps for the $1 deal. 12/31 is the last day. Simply add a RODE NTG-3 to your cart and you'll see the boom pole options listed below in the cart. RODE is fulfilling the blimps very quickly, in less than a week from what we've heard. This is without a doubt the best deal on an audio package we've ever seen.

Is this offer still going on?

I doubt there will be another opportunity to get 525.00 of free stuff just for buying a sweet mic that's half the price and just as good as an industry leader like the MKH416.

All hail the NTG-3 / Free Blimp / K-Tek Boom Pole deal!

Anybody in NYC and get the blimp deal? I submitted my "claim" and got a receipt ticket, or whatnot, on the 29th and have not received yet, and was just wondering if anyone knew actual ETA for the blimps to NY?

I got mines on Tuesday Dec 22 and I had purchased it back on Dec 11. It was shipped to Norcross, GA. Mines came from CA. So that could give you a ball park of when to expect. Not sure if yours is coming from CA or not but you should get it soon.
