Well, 24P with manual iris and Cine Gamma is GREAT

...for ballet. I'm really stunned by the difference between regular video and 24P with Cine Gamma. Last year we shot with a Sony PD 150, this year with a pair of DVX100's. The colors are incredible; it truly does NOT look like video.

Since I'm a newbie most of you are probably smiling to yourselves and nodding wisely.

Wow.
