GH4 Weird splotchy image offset problem in the GH4 -Please help

I would assume you shot this V-log and recording internally which is not recommended.
The only way to get good and predictable v-log L footage out of the GH4 is to output 10bit and record via external recorder.

I figured that just affected the color. I know shooting VLog can result in more noise and banding, but it can also manipulate footage like this? Damn.

You're seeing the effects of 8bit V-Log in action. I don't recommend V-Log for anything in 8bit.

Shoot 10bit V-Log and those artifacts will be mostly gone, if not entirely.

Also make sure you update to v1.1 of the firmware, out now, to avoid any possible ghosting bugs, as that was something fixed (not related here I think but just to be sure).

I think this is nothing about V-log or 8-bit. Long GOP compression can cause some jumps in background or other odd image part movement. I have some GH4 clips with odd things in part of the video image.

Is this movement in original clip?
