Weird problem

Last week i was on a shoot an at one point, the camera started to act weird. It was impossible to change the shutter and all the buttons were **** up. When i was using the zoom on the handle it was changing the exposure. Now on the tapes, there is alot of time code brakes, i used the same camera the week before and didnt get a single time code brake on capture for 18 tapes. Any idea how to solve this problem??

Hmmm... did any sort of liquid spill on the camera at any time? that's my initial thought...

Have you tried it again today to see if it's still acting funky? maybe a night's rest did it some good?

If it IS still acting up, it may need to be sent in for repair, unless others can come up with some logic behind the malfunction...

I don't know about the TC breaks, but are you sure the cam didn't slip into auto mode by accident. It could explain a lot.

Everytime i try to capture, i get drop outs on my image but when i do a playback, everyting is ok?? Im really confused now

If you are getting a solid playback from the original tape, maybe you could try dubbing it onto another tape and using the new tape to capture your footage?
