Weird pet peeves?

dateline: rush hour NYC.

people who walk up stairs, about one step per two seconds (read: painfully slow), while a perfectly good subway train is right in the station just waiting for me to get to the door only to have it close. I then look back and the person that blocked me from getting on that train is still climbing the stairs.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Someone new to NYc????

Flint.. just push em out the way.

i got on the train today, with my laptop, and some dude gave me a dirty look for i guess, existing, or having the audacity to carry something on the train with me.....

and he was just staring at me, looking at my laptop making faces.... when he looked backat my face i just said in a firm yet calm (think Hal9000) "What!?"

then he looked away... i hate when people judge other people on the train....

its POOPOOing irritating.

Yea I know it's old and someone's peeve is people reviving old threads but....

:furious3:
This text is normal and easy to read.
This text is done with a modified font and tends to be very hard to read. Especially if you Bold one of the letters.
Would it not be easier to use normal text and if you want to draw attention to it just make it bold or italics? End of Pet Peeve of The Day.

I have three, but I don't think one counts...

I hate stupidity. I mean real stupidity. When someone does something, well, stupid and you bring another option to their attention and they say, "oh, yeah that would have been better." ARRGHHH. Bad things happening for no reason because someone didn't take two seconds to think of the reproductions.

And I cannot stand to have dust on my monitor speakers in my editing station. My room seems unnatural dusty and I must wipe the dust off them at least three times a day if I am in there. And I only care about the monitors.

And a third:

When you get hurt for no reason. Like stubbing your toe or slamming your finger in a door, or knocking your elbow on a corner you went around too fast. I think to my self, "why did God allow that to happen? Does it help me in any way?" Normally the answer is no.

Being a transpanted Canadian this one has been bugging me lately. I say thank you, and the reply is uh huh.

ROFL. I get uh-huh all the time. Us Canadians have must have a big sign on our foreheads that tell people to uh-huh us.

Mine is defenitely young people. Them with their music and cell phones- GAH I hate it. Its ironic, truly, but I hate young people.

I also hate the extent of southern hospitality some chil'lun (children) in the south have. You can be at, say, an arcade, and the child will blatantly push you away and say "this is the way yall gotta do it", and plays with my arcade game. The child must have been 6!

And lastly is school supply shopping at Wal-Mart near the last days coming to school. People are mad! They push, shove, and grab. I had one elder woman smash me in the back with a basket because she needed glue sticks. And another time (day before school) I found hidden the LAST book cover, and some 5'1" asian woman walks by and snatches it out of my hand and throws it in the basket, and RUNS AWAY!. Runs, full speed, away from me.

But others are when people talk when movies are playing, when people kick my chair in the theatre (that time I think I gave junior and his wisecracking friend the biggest lesson of their life. It was a particularily bright scene, and I slowly started to rotate my head almost a full 180. Then, all of a sudden, the scene went red, and my eyes had a peircing red glow. The kids jumped back a little, and I just slowly turned my head back with now words spoken.).
