Weird pet peeves?

Anyone have any weird pet peeves they wish to share? We all have ones about bad drivers, people who are rude, etc...but do you have any weird ones?

Here is a couple of mine (that I can think of):

I don't like things that taste the way something else (not related to it) smells. For example I once had some sort of drink that tastes like the smell of those Christmas candles.

I don't like the feeling of a fresh newspaper on my fingers.

There are 2, I probably will think of more.

Sorry, I am really bored at work.

I don't like people who walk around in stores pushing empty carts that they use mainly (in conjunction with their fat asses) to block the aisles, thus making it almost impossible for me to get anywhere.

I can't function when the waiter is standing next to me. Normally I'm a very social person, making jokes and what not. Relaxed. But when the waiter is standing right next to me with his crotch inches from my face I can't move, petrified. I stop in mid-sentence because I don't want the waiter to know what we're talking about or something, but now he probably thinks we're talking about him. Jeez, some people are so paranoid. :undecided

Good idea for a thread.

I feel bad for things left alone. Example: If there is one piece of corn left on my plate I must eat it, or find it a friend (maybe a pea or a lima bean). I don't like to throw anything away that's alone either. If a pencil is broken I will throw it away with another broken pencil. So it doesn't feel bad I guess. :) Do I have loneliness issues? Probably.

I HATE IT! HATE IT! When women hum in a girlish tone, it drives me insane. It haunts me. It makes me really really mad.

This is a true story, you might think me for an asshole but whatever:

When I was in Pre-School, there were these asian twins, and one of them was humming and for the first few days where she was constantly humming I could control myself, but it drove me mad.

So I took my little red lunchbox, went up to her and smashed it across her face. She was a cool girl but that **** drives me insane. Even to this day, I have to plug my ears or drown it out with music. Oh god it is so ... god... so horrible.

I just lost it, what can I say - just totally flew off the handle :(

I have not resorted to violence of any kind since that day, by the way.

Speaking of pencils...I can stand using plastic unsharpened pencils.

As far as the waiter thing goes, I am in 85% agreement with you, it bothers me but not to the point where it bothers you...and to the point where I think about the person's crotch.

3 Massive Pet Peaves

1. When people confuse word usage for 'good' & 'well'. Maybe it is that stupid English degree, but c'mon, one is an adjective and the other an adverb.
2. When people use words that they don't know the meaning for but think it is the proper usage (once again, an English degree thing)
3. How when you are walking up to a door with your girlfriend and in order to open the door for her you have to cut her off, walk in front of her, and then open the door. It is this whole dance that is just on a crash course for disaster.

ooohhh:

When you are going into a building and they don't have a normal door, just a revolving door. Ewwww, revolving doors...

Just thought of another one, and this is most likely at the top of my list... Biggest pet peave of all. When people talk about my dog and say how is SHE doing? Or call my dog SHE. Or are talking about someone elses dog and use the wrong pronoun. Nothing urkes me like this.

Urinals. I hate urinals. The smell, the design, if I could have it my way every guy would be required to pee off the top of a building. It would be a right of passage, and so too would be peeing off the top of the Eiffel tower.

And not being able to pee in public. There's something freeing about peeing on the side of a building after a long night of drinking.

Oh, I got some more...

No offense to anyone here at all, but I can't stand the online abbreviation crap, brb, lol, jk, etc. Not only for its overuse online but also when people actually speak it. When having a conversation with my niece online I asked her what was going on, in which she responded, "nm." I said, "Nevermind?" She said, "Nothing much, nevermind is 'nvm,' " that was followed by a LOL of course. Then my nephew spells 'cool' 'kool,' our youth are doomed.

Not a huge fan of when people name their pets human names too.

Man, I think I need to work on my problems. Some are bordering on OCD...jk, lol, brb.

Here's one that bothers me on a daily basis. The chick next to me at work looks over my shoulder all day watching whatever I'm doing on the computer. Yeah, that's right... I can see you reading this. STOP IT!

Don't you just love the people that have so much **** on their background that you can't even read their inane babblings... that is, if the page would ever load completely because the 13 QT music videos they have on their page are bogging things down slightly?
