Weird Issues With QuickTime 7.5

I have been using my HVX for two years with 0 issues but today the 720pn footage that I shot on my 8 gig cards looks very colorized when I export out of Final Cut Studio 2.
The clips play fine inside Final Cut, but when I export them to a self contained FCP movie and play them in Quicktime they look beyond horrible!
The viewer in Final Cut goes red when I try and use the slip tool.
When I import the self contained movies into my other system using FCP 5.14 and QuickTime 7.4.1 everything is perfect!
Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've noticed similar horrible qualities with quicktime, paticularly in SD footage in the Reds. Blocky and jaggies and just horrible looking. I think there's others reporting similar horrors.

Go in the QT general preferences, clic on the "Use high-quality video setting when available"
