GH5 Weird Issue with the GH5

Has anyone had this happen?
I've been shooting with the GH5 since launch and very occasionally it will separate a bunch of my shots into multiple folders. Usually all my shots are held in one Panasonic folder, but for some reason, the camera will randomly choose to put shots into individual folders.
I can't figure out what causes this file structure to change since I really don't change options that frequently.

Have you tried doing a full reset to see if this sorts things out ?

Also, I assume that you are formatting your cards in camera before every new shoot ?

I've had this happen once and had it reset to older numbering a few times. I finally started leaving the last numbered shot on the cam. I now take a still image at the end of every shoot. If I feel like reformatting I simply copy and paste that image or video back to the card(s) in question and I've not had an issue since in over two months.

I have my GH5 set up to fill card slot 1 first then switch to card slot 2. Over the weekend I filled card slot one and when I turned the cam back on to shoot again, it said memory full and wouldn't let me shoot. I pulled the card, but the one from slot 2 into slot 1 and a new card in slot 2 and it kept numbering perfectly from there.

The numbering system on this cam with the dual slots is an issue and hopefully they really do have it sorted in V2 firmware when it comes out. In the mean time leaving a shot with the last numbered clip on the card has worked perfectly for me.

Cheers, Pete

I think i've seen a GH4 do the same but it didn't bother me, i never read manuals and such things i usually tend to assume as an implemention i never bother about

I tried to shoot using both card slots. I tried to shoot one sort of videos in slot1 and other videos with slot2. The result was a mess. Every time I changed the target slot the GH5 started a new folder. In the end of the day i had tens of folders in both slots and there were same folder and file numbers in both cards.
